About Us

Akash: Little Angels of God Org, Toba Tek Singh, Pakistan legally is working under the supervision of Pastor Nadeem Masih who runs the popular ‘New Baptist Church, Dawakhri in Pakistan. When we started aiding deserving people Pastor Nadeem orchestrates the ‘hands on.’ The team buys needed items under the supervision of Pastor Nadeem Masih from the New Baptist Church. Items are bought from local stores of Toba Tek Singh, Pakistan and our team make up packages. Once the packages are made we go to distribute. We make packages of all types of daily items. They usually contain rice, wheat flour for making flatbread, various kind of lentils, fruits and vegetables. We also add few more things like, masks, soap and sanitisers. Also on occasion unusual items like bedding.

Paul: It is unfortunate that the western sanctions that are in place because of the Pakistani government regime, actually naturally hinder the innocent people of the country that are in need where within their own country cannot achieve support . Quoting myself: They need people like us from a better off country to better their future, ours does not compare and we get along just fine. No child should miss school in order to work to survive and pay off the family debt. Sanctions against Pakistan mean it is harder for the needs to be met within their own country. We know we cannot all give to everything but rather only to that which gains our attention and we ask YOU, please to consider this. Mr Akash Riaz is working with myself from the UK. The Team

Paul Cooper
Charity Founder and online Support Developer

Paul, has assisted this ministry in order for them to help themselves with their cause, creating various social media accounts and a website. Extra to these promoting outlets he has raised a couple of funding pages. Paul, using his church has also organised charity relief work in India and Romania, with delivering toys, medical supplies, clothing and so on to various orphanages.

Akash Riaz
Mission Founder and Director

Akash, provides for his family as a humble taxi driver. As his profile picture implies, he is committed to children beyond his own. This started in 2015 when he visited a brick factory. Compassion fuelled his heart to strive to alter the lives of the children he saw, for the better. Little Angels of God was then born. He has sourced a team and years later now directs efforts of support beyond the limited local funds.

Sonia Glorious
Orphanage Teacher

Sonia, by profession is a language translator. She currently teaches at a local orphanage. This makes her a perfect choice for aiding this ministry for teaching the labouring children who miss out on a ‘normal’ schooling. By teaching life skills with social and Biblical principles with the English language alongside Urdu, she is installing into the children the ability to aid themselves beyond childhood.

Nadeem Masih
Senior Pastor

Nadeem, is the senior pastor of the local Baptist Church. He supports Akash by orchestrating the helpers with purchases followed by the distribution. Once delivery of the aid parcels is arranged and during the gathering of recipients and team, Nadeem uses the opportunity to say a few words of wisdom and support and to offer the church for further assistance where called upon.

Babar Masih
Finance Officer

Babar, a committed Christian has worked in administration for Papachinos. He now uses his skills in being the finance officer for this ministry. He hopes and works to see the eradication of the slavery of forced labour and to free the children from it. This is a big financial task due to the cycle of debt the families face. Babar quote: “May God use us to free them like Moses freed the people of Israel.”

Some Insight…

What is happening there.

Waris: A BONDED LABOURER

He works as a pathair – or unbaked brickmaker – and helps his father in the back-breaking task of carrying clay and bricks.

“I accompany my family to the workplace at six o’clock in the morning and we work all day, ending late when it is dark,” he told Our Ministry.

“During summer, it becomes hard to sustain the heat and work pressure. Often my hands are burnt while carrying baked bricks.”

Daily routine is common in Pakistan, where the International Labour Organization estimates that over 12 million children work as child labourers.

Shaping mud into bricks is an arduous, repetitive process and pay can be as little as 75 rupees ($1.25) per day.

From the kilns:

“Brick kilns are dangerous as well for workers where heat strokes, hand burns, servitude, and discrimination prevail,”

“These workers are not allowed to leave this work until they pay back their debts.

“Female workers are also helping her Husbands and during the work they were giving them food to eat on lunch.

Cycle of debt:

It is common to find parents and children working side by side at kilns.

According to the United Nations Development Programme, 21 percent of Pakistan’s population of 180 million people live below the poverty line.

Bonded labourers are trapped into a perpetual cycle of debt that is often passed on to generations of the same family.

Many kiln managers provide loans to workers who are then unable to repay and have no choice but to work as slaves, a practice that is widespread despite being outlawed in 1992.

It’s a long project to free them from their debts but we can give them monthly food packages to families and can give the Children education.
